SOLAR IN SPORT AND WYTHENSHAWE TOWN CLUB SPONSORSHIP
Solar In Sport are delighted to announce a five-figure sponsorship deal with North West Counties Premier Division side Wythenshawe Town FC.
The sponsorship will see Solar In Sport sponsoring 15 of the club’s junior and senior teams and on advertising boards around their ground at the Ericstan Stadium for the next three years.
In addition, the sponsorship will be promoted on the club’s social media channels along with matchday hospitality, ticketing and season ticket support.
Solar In Sport work with sports clubs nationwide installing solar and battery systems on their facilities offering a zero capital expenditure solution also known as a power purchase agreement. (PPA)
A PPA sees the solar system funded, operated, and maintained by a third party with access to institutional investors’ significant funds. The sports club does not pay outright for the solar array, but they agree to buy the solar energy from the panels on their roof at a cheaper rate than the power they buy from their traditional supplier.
This solution helps clubs achieve the benefits of solar energy whilst retaining their business capital for more pressing operational requirements on and off the field.
The solution is designed to give sports clubs peace of mind with fixed energy costs and the latest solar technology offering significant savings.
"We are delighted to be sponsoring Wythenshawe Town FC," said Terry Heydon, CEO asnd founder of Solar In Sport.
“Solar In Sport is here to inspire individuals and sporting communities to adopt renewable energy solutions and reduce their carbon footprint.
“We are here to lead the charge in creating a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come.
“We hope the sponsorship helps the club move forward and also helps to energise the Wythenshawe community.”
Wythenshawe Town FC Juniors chairman Fergus Burke said: “We would like to thank Solar in Sport for the sponsorship they have provided for the club – in particular the junior section.
“We are looking forward to working with Solar In Sport throughout the seasons ahead.
“The junior section is fast growing and we thrive on providing coaching from under seven through to under 21 which can lead onto a development path into the first team.
“We rely on sponsorship like this to keep expanding and offering sport to the local community.”
